Founded in 1966, the Santa Cruz Island Reserve has become an internationally valued site with an outstanding history of supporting research and teaching. The Reserve facilitates and supports scientists, teachers, students, and other visitors from around the world and provides them with accommodations and vehicles for transport throughout this amazing island and its diverse habitats.
